Roger C. Hinman
Roger Hinman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1971, then served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war. He followed that with a 33-year career in the electronics manufacturing industry, holding a variety of engineering and management positions before retiring in 2008.
Growing up in Andover, Massachusetts, his interest in railroading was fueled at an early age by a railfan uncle and the nearby Boston & Maine Railroad. He has authored over 20 articles in model railroad and historical society publications. Merchants Despatch is his first full-length book.
Roger resides in Framingham, Massachusetts and enjoys the company of his two granddaughters.
